Valley Insiders | For Valley partners only | Edition No.4 2025

3 reasons to step into 2026 feeling confident 🚀

As 2025 draws to a close, I’d like to invite you to tune out the noise and focus on the sparks of progress that are quietly reshaping the global FoodTech landscape.

  • Smarter funding, stronger solutions: While total investment has dipped, capital is increasingly flowing towards innovations that address real-world challenges β€” from food waste reduction to precision farming β€” with measurable impact and sustainable business models.
  • From exploration to scale: International organisations and global companies are no longer just observing emerging technologies like precision fermentation; they’re endorsing and investing in them, signalling readiness for impact at scale across supply chains.
  • Tradition strengthened by innovation: Developments like the world’s first cultivated meat farm show that new production methods can complement β€” not compete with β€” traditional agriculture, creating fresh income streams for farmers and reinforcing their central role in our food system.

Back in Switzerland, our food innovation ecosystem continues to thrive. Since 2021, the number of Swiss FoodTech startups has grown by 65%. This year alone, scale-ups have raised significant capital for climate-smart agriculture and scaled new ingredient solutions by partnering with global players to accelerate market adoption.

As we close out the year, we remain grateful for every partner, innovator, and supporter who fed the momentum behind our mission. We look forward to continuing to shape future-proof food systems with you in 2026.

In the meantime, I wish you a restful break and plenty of fresh opportunities for connection and collaboration in the new year.
