Collaborating for impact: a year in review

It's been a busy year for the Swiss Food & Nutrition Valley. We've mapped the Swiss ecosystem, welcomed over 50 new members, fine-tuned our strategy and tested out the methodology for our Impact Platforms.

We've also been heartened to see a distinct shift amongst ecosystem actors towards collaborating for impact. In a single month, Planted - the first food startup to be crowned Swiss Startup of the Year - joined forces with Bell Food Group, KΓΌndig Group and Migros Industrie to found the Swiss Protein Association. Just as three Swiss giants came together to create the Cultured Food Innovation Hub to drive forward the development of cellular agriculture.

These joint endeavours are vital, because innovation can never be a one (wo)man show. Only by sharing our unique knowledge, skills and resources will we bring the sustainable future of food closer, faster.Β Β

We have big plans to keep up this momentum in 2022. In addition to launching four new Impact Platforms, we'll strengthen our relationships with food hubs around the globe, work to make Switzerland an even greater startup nation and we'll be holding a national β€˜SFNV Forum’ to celebrate the past, present and future of food. Keep an eye on LinkedIn for the latest.Β Β

Finally, but most importantly, we'd like to express our gratitude to the SFNV community. Whether you're an active member or a Friend of the Valley who follows our work: THANK YOU! The SFNV wishes you, your team and your family a happy and healthy festive break. We look forward to reconnecting with you in the New Year.

An interview with Yasemin
Head of Impact Platforms, SFNV

Over the last two months, SFNV has invited members to take part in a series of events as part of its first Impact Platform on precision nutrition. We caught up with Yasemin, Head of Impact Platforms at SFNV, to find out more about what we've learned so far and her plans to launch four additional Impact Platforms in 2022.
