Starting with our
"Why" A look back at our last 90 days of action
|
|
|
My first 90 days as Managing Director of the Swiss Food and Nutrition Valley have been eventful. I’ve spent the time getting to know the Swiss food & nutrition ecosystem in depth through discussions with the industry, academia, startups,
investors, cantons, institutions and individuals here.
Hundreds of virtual meetings later, I've found our Why :
The Swiss ecosystem is rich but fragmented and in order to fully leverage our potential, we need a unified effort. We need collaboration to go
further, to go faster and to be at our best. In other words, to position Switzerland as a leading food & nutrition innovation hub, we must work together. A consortium can make a difference by creating a structure, bringing the right change makers together and setting an agenda for collaboration.
To bring clarity we decided to map out all the actors within the Swiss food & nutrition innovation ecosystem - supported by our partners at Accenture. The result of this mapping will be unveiled at our first SFNV Live Chat "Meet the Ecosystem", which I hope you’ll be able to join.
This fall, we’ll launch our first thematic impact platform "Precision Nutrition" to coordinate and federate tangible actions around one of our core focus areas. Our approach and methodology is being developed with the support of McKinsey, and will be presented in more detail this September.
Looking ahead, our aim next year will be to go beyond the Swiss mountains with a unified ecosystem, and reach the world. To increase international
collaboration. To attract talent. To firmly put Switzerland on the map as a leading food & nutrition innovation nation.
Continued engagement and collaboration within Switzerland is the first step on our journey of unleashing Food & Nutrition innovation to improve our planetary and human health.
