Scaling Swiss agrifood innovation for global impact
FAO and Swiss Food & Nutrition Valley - now joined by the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub - are preparing to launch the Global Innovation Scaling Hub. By connecting partner networks, the Hub will pilot and scale Swiss agrifood solutions in Low- and Middle-Income Countries, boosting food security, nutrition, and resilience.
Empowering citizens through healthier food
This SFNV lighthouse initiative tackles the dietary drivers of non-communicable diseases through a science-based, systems approach, from farm to fork. Bringing together SFNV partners and stakeholders across the value chain, it co-develops and pilots real-world solutions that promote healthier, more sustainable diets.
Switzerland heads to Ecotrophelia Europe
For the first time in twelve years, a Swiss team will compete in Europe’s top student food innovation competition. The team from HES-SO Valais-Wallis was recently invited to Nestlé R&D to develop prototypes for their sustainable mealworm-based crackers, learning firsthand from Nestlé's R&D chefs and packaging experts.
